Developers

To enable seamless integration with Hednet’s decentralized compute and bandwidth infrastructure, we are developing two foundational components for developers: Decentralized APIs (dAPI) and Communication Protocols. Together, they form the bridge between external systems, user-facing applications, and AI agents within the Hednet ecosystem.

Decentralized API

Hednet’s dAPI layer gives developers a way to access data and services from decentralized sources—without relying on centralized intermediaries. Through integration with oracles, IPFS, and smart contracts, developers can build applications that are permissionless, censorship-resistant, and verifiable by design.

What it enables:

  • Real-time data feeds via oracles like Chainlink or Band Protocol

  • Decentralized storage with Filecoin or Arweave

  • Smart contract automation for compute rental, rewards, and workflows

  • Blockchain-native GraphQL access via The Graph

Use Case Examples:

  • An AI agent queries real-time crypto prices through a Chainlink dAPI

  • A dApp retrieves model outputs stored on IPFS for secure analysis

  • Smart contracts trigger payments based on node performance data

Communication Protocols:

To support reliable and scalable data exchange across distributed compute nodes, Hednet implements a robust suite of communication protocols. These protocols allow AI agents, applications, and users to interact efficiently across the network—handling both synchronous and asynchronous data flows.
